Make Money From Home …

Back To Work

I’m back at work after 10 days of break. No, I didn’t go for Las Vegas travel, even if I’m dreaming of one! I went back to Malaysia to renew my visa and we rushed back to Bangkok as soon as we can. It’s nice to be back home for a few days since we missed Malaysian food so much!

My workload increases this week, so I guess I will be busy for a while. A few weeks from now, I might have a few days off again to accompany my friends from Ipoh. Gosh, this month is going to be hectic for me!

Working From Home

My short break is almost over now, and I have started working from home. There are some simple stuffs which I can easily do out from the office, especially working on our company website. I have come out with a draft, but I might need hubby to go through it first before finalizing the website contents.

Since we have brought the domain name and hosting, it will be rather easy for the website to be launched as soon as the contents are done. However, I might need someone to optimize the website for me. Most of our customers found just online, so the website is quite important to us. I might have to look around, and find one that fits my budget. I can’t just consult any companies as the cost of SEO can be rather costly. If you are looking for Los Angeles SEO, check out Brand Identity Guru. They might be able to improve the ranking of your website. I think it’s best to get some help from the experts if we can’t do this on our own.

Thus, I better spend more time working on the contents. I still have to get some help in SEO before the website can be launched, hence I better speed things up.

Car Not Fixed

My car is not being fixed yet, and I will be back to Bangkok soon. I hate to see the dented part even if it’s not going to affect the car’s performance. It will take more than 2 weeks to fix it, and furthermore, the service center has yet to inform us when can we send in the car. Gosh, it’s so troublesome! If the car is here, I will just send it to any reliable mechanic and get it fix ASAP. I will think about how to get the insurance claims later. But over there, we have lots of communication problem and we can’t trust any mechanic except the ones from the service center. So, I will have to be more patience.

Frankly, we didn’t do any auto insurance comparisons because we won’t know anything much about this in Bangkok. I think everything is covered by the insurance, even if the car is driven by a 3rd party. I’m glad that we have SIL there who can be our translator and read all those papers for us. If not, I really can’t imagine how complicated things can be in Bangkok.

But most importantly, we have to learn Thai fast. I can only understand simple Thai, so it’s a long way to go for me.

New Laptop HP V3822

Hubby’s Dell is dying soon. It’s too slow, and even my kids are losing their patience when they play some kiddie games with it. So, we went shopping for laptop as soon as we arrived here in Malaysia. We wanted to get Macbook at first, but the one on black is more expensive and hubby is not used to Macintosh. He will need another parallel software to use Windows at the same time, if he doesn’t want to restart the laptop, if we get a Macbook.

We proceeded to Sony Vaio, but there’s nothing special about it. Then, we came across HP Compaq V3822 which is selling at only RM2699. Wah! That’s way much cheaper than the rest! We didn’t need to do much budgeting and planning and hubby just bought it at the spot!

He’s not using it for high-tech games or designing, so HP Compaq is good enough for home use. Besides that, the price is unbelievably cheap!

So, he has a new laptop now and my kids take over his Dell. I’m still using my Dell XPS M1210 because I’m still loving it. :)

Work Harder Now…

Besides shopping, I love to travel around. I can’t travel that much since we have kids, so if we are planning for a holiday, I will choose those places that are suitable for kids. Disneyland is definitely one of those places where I would love to bring my kids to one day. It’s not too hard to get those discount Disney World tickets but we need to squeeze more days out for a nice trip like this. For the time being, we can’t possibly be having a vacation when our business has just started!

So, we better work harder for the time being and once our business is going on track, we will have more time for family vacation.

Profession…

I was blog hopping just now and I came across a post about writing your profession. How will you describe yourself if you are a stay-at-home mother? When I was not working, I would just write housewife, or N/A (non-applicable). LOL! Seriously, will you take housewife as a profession? If not, I don’t think I can write anything there, and thus n/a sounds suitable. LOL!

Frankly, being a housewife is not that easy. I was a stay-at-home mother for years, so I understand what most mothers have to do day in day out and not all of them are well paid! I was lucky that I could blog for money for some time and my hubby supports most of our expenses, but there are some mothers who have to take care of their children and earn a living without a proper profession as well. So, being a housewife is not a profession for anyone, if you are not capable enough. LOL!

Anyway, I wonder what will I write as profession now? I’m not really employed by hubby but just helping him out. So, I guess I will still stick to n/a since no one really ask about it. LOL!

I Hate Spams

I hate to moderate all those spammy comments first thing in the morning when I check on my mailbox. My breastfeeding blog has the tendency to have more spams than others, maybe it’s due to the keywords like breasts and nipples. Who knows? All I do is delete everything, and sometimes, I might accidentally deleted some genuine comments as well. Sigh…

I can’t just get a tactical gear and shoot all the spammers to death right? So, I hope that Akismet will do a better do in catching those spams. I just can’t understand why they still get through after lots of keyword filters.

A Break Back Home

I was very busy in Bangkok for the past few weeks, but I’m having short break away for a while. I will be in cloud nine if I’m having a nice holiday in some fancy Las Vegas Hotels with lots of money to spend, but too bad, I’m just having a short trip back to my home town. We don’t have time to travel around except meeting some close friends and relatives.

But I’m still happy to be back home. It’s nice to get away from the busy life in Bangkok and spend some lazy days here. I will be all busy again soon, so let me get some rest as much as I can.

Hit and Run

My car was hit by a truck just now, but no one was hurt. The truck was driving so fast, it could not stop in time and thus it hit the side of my car when it was trying to avoid us. I’m glad that the driver did manage to turn the truck in time, but he ran away! It was a hit and run! SIL and I managed to jot down the license plat, so we are going to file a report and claim the damage fee from our cheap auto insurance. Luckily, our car is well insured so we don’t have to pay a single cent for the dented part.

Driving in Bangkok can be very dangerous, so it’s best to be more careful all the time. But even if we are not violating the rules or speeding off limit, accidents can still happen due to other reckless drivers on the road! I think I will get a heart attack if I’m driving all the time in Bangkok! I better get myself a health insurance as soon as possible!

Too bad we can’t buy insurance online here, so it’s so inconvenient. If only I can just get the insurance coverage from Mheac.com which can be purchased online, won’t that be great?

Olympic Games 2008

BIL came out with a crazy idea this morning. He said since the Olympic Games is starting soon, we should just get a HDTV for the office so that we can watch the Olympic games. O.o

It’s almost like the years when I worked in the factory. One of the engineers moved a TV to the office and most of the guys sneaked in the empty room to watch the World Cup. If you are wondering if they had been caught, the answer is no as the manager was in the room as well. O.o

Most men are interested in sports, so they just don’t want to miss the games. I really don’t like the idea of having the TV in the office because the workers will surely gather in to watch the game. But still, I’m not the boss. The big boss said buy a TV and so a TV we buy.
