Shoppingmum’s Office Life

I’m so happy to see the increase of visitors to my bento blog, and it’s something I haven’t expected when I started bento-ing. I didn’t start a new blog for the niche or did any search engine directory subbmission, but just “recycled” one of my old blogs and continued to update my bentos there. It did give a dying blog a second chance, and by changing the niche, I feel like I’m in love with the blog once again, just like the time when I first start writing on it. LOL!

But even if I have more visitors, I don’t have adsense there nor any pagerank. But that doesn’t bother me. I just want to enjoy blogging on that blog for the time being.

All this time, I don’t do well in Adsense, and I hardly pay much attention on it. But I found out that I’ve just hit the limit this morning and I can get another check soon! That’s pretty amazing to someone who didn’t do much on SEO or what-so-ever hard work on her blogs. LOL!

Too bad I still can’t cash out with Western Union in Thailand, so I can only receive check. But then again, it’s still free money!

My bento blog was one of the finalists in Singapore Blog Awards, and I have never thought that I would be one of the top 3 finalists. Before last night, I didn’t even know that it was a big event in Singapore, until my friend told me that some bloggers are interviewed by TV, radio and magazines. Gosh, I didn’t have a clue about this all the while!

Then again, it’s nice to be recognized but I didn’t put much hope in winning. The prizes are amazing, and I might be able to get hubby a tuxedo shirt if my blog is chosen. LOL! But I don’t think that is possible, and I’m already happy with where my blog stands now.

I found that my Adsense earning shown is not accurate, based from my previous payment record. The total earning is lesser from what I supposed to get, if I get the total sum by months. Funny…Is there a mistake? LOL! Luckily, I’m not surviving on that amount of earning, which is quite little and can’t even buy me a laptop over years!

But I’m quite surprised to see the different totals, as I thought Google won’t make mistake!

 After 2 weeks of idling at home, I’ve finally got back to the office this week and I have so much to work on. It’s not too busy, but I have something to settle with. Nonetheless, I feel much better and less tired after a long rest, and my heart no longer longs for sunbathing by the sea or put on the equestrian apparel and go horseback riding in the countryside. I feel more focus now.

But of course, I will get all restless again after I get too busy for a while. But until then, let me enjoy my work.

After 2 weeks of staying at home, I’m more than eager to get back to the office, and hopefully I can see papers piling on my desk! I feel like I have so much energy to put in my work, and I can’t wait to get started! That’s why having a short break is always great for productivity huh?

Besides that, being too idle is not good for me as I tend to eat a lot at home. I think I need to check out those diet pills reviews already! LOL! So, I can’t wait for Monday to come!

Hubby went back to settle some creditors who refused to pay back our money, even if they had taken our goods many years ago. The only way of settling this would be get legal help as it’s impossible for us to collect the money back by ourselves, unless we hire someone to do so.

It’s quite a big sum of money, and if we get it back, I can easily buy gold or anything I want for myself! But then, we will keep the money away for rainy day, or to invest into our current business. I hope that he managed to talk to the lawyer by now and they have come out with some solution. It’s been taking so long to get the money back!

I can’t wait to go back to the office next week, it’s so boring staying at home all day long. Maybe it’s because I stay at home mostly, instead of going for some nice Orlando vacations, so I begin to miss going back to hub’s office. At least there are something for me to do there.

I just can’t wait for hubby to come home and then my mom can go back to her place too. She’s as bored as me, and we are so bored to death! LOL!

I’m giving myself 2 weeks break because hubby is away for sales training, ex-customer visits, and also settle some matters back home. It’s not too busy at the office anyway, so I can’t see the point of going there, unless there is a need. I’ve been waiting for a long break, and it’s great that I’m enjoying one now. Too bad I can’t go for a holiday as my kids are schooling, hubby is away and I don’t have a vacation budget! LOL!

Anyway, it’s nice to have a break.

 My car insurance is expiring soon. I can’t believe that we have been here for almost a year. I might need some free insurance quotes for my car soon! LOL!

It’s seems like yesterday, when we made the big move to move over to Bangkok and start a new life and business here. I would say, things are pretty slow, and we haven’t made a profit yet. But we are surviving, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we will make a few good deals in the coming months.

I know that the economy is getting worse, but we should keep on trying. Giving up is the last thing in my mind now, and I really hope that we will make it!
